Title 7 Native American Program

To ensure that programs that serve Indian children are of the highest quality and provide for not only the basic elementary and secondary educational needs, but also the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of these children.

Number of Tribal Affiliation: 9
In order to apply for a formula grant under the Indian Education Program, a school must determine the number of Indian children enrolled and the number of 506 forms completed by the parent or guardian. The 506 form must include Tribal Affiliation and Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) number.

Current number of forms on file: 433/631 69%

What the Los Lunas Schools Provide:

Full-time parent liaison
school supplies, backpacks, culturally relevant library books

Financial support:

annual college/career day, annual Powwow, Senior Banquet, Native American clubs, field trips to colleges/universities

Professional Development:

Parent liaison, teachers

Parent Meetings

Parent Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month to ensure community contribution/participation.
Collaborate with the Department of Education at Isleta and their Johnson O’Malley program
