 Principal's Message

Dear Bosque Farms Elementary Families,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well. I have really missed our students and families!  As you know, the governor has made the decision to start the 2020-2021 school year with a remote (online) learning model with a hope to open up a hybrid learning model after Labor Day, depending on the Covid-19 virus statistics.

During this time Los Lunas Schools is offering a full curriculum, utilizing the approved ELA and Math curricula. Teachers will be teaching live lessons from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The teachers will also be recording their lessons and posting them onto the Canvas learning platform so that students can access and watch the lesson outside of school hours if needed.

On-line learning Overview:
Teachers will begin conducting online lessons Monday August 17th.  Lessons will be conducted live on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays are reserved for teachers to meet with small student groups, meet one on one with students, plan, and collaborate with their grade level. Please click the link above to see our daily schedule.

Even though we are entering school in an online manner attendance will be taken daily and grades will be given. The expectation is that students fully participate in attending lessons, completing and turning in work, and reaching out to their teacher if they have questions or need assistance.  If you need to reach your child's teacher please click on the link staff directory (to the right of this page) to find their contact information.

Technology Assistance:
If you and your family are in need of a technology device and were not able to pick one up the day of distribution please contact our school to schedule a time that works best for you and your family.  If you are having difficulty with the ipad that your student was provided please contact the school at 505-869-2646 and ask for Mrs. Luna or Mrs. Silva or e-mail them at lluna@llschools.net.

Student Nutrition will provide meals for Los Lunas Schools students starting Monday, August 17th.  Meal distribution will be grab and go Monday-Friday from 12:00-1:00.  Students must be present to receive a meal.  The Grab and Go sites will be:

* Valencia Middle School.

While all students who are enrolled in Los Lunas Schools may receive meals, students who are not eligible for free meals must pay for the meals they pick up.  To become eligible for free or reduced school meals, fill out the application at WWW.myschoolapps.com.  Siblings who are not enrolled in Los Lunas Schools and adults may purchase a meal package containing breakfast and lunch for $7.50.  Call Student Nutrition at 505-866-2490 if you have any questions about school meals.

Please be patient with us as we want the best for your child.  We are all in this together.  The most important thing is the health and safety of students and staff. Hang in there with us. Should you have any questions, please call the school office at 505-869-2646.

We miss and love you all!
